An attorney by trade and teacher at heart, I have worked across lines of difference at the state and local levels to create and refine policy and practice to meet the needs of a diversifying world while making it accessible to all. I have led complex policy change in politically challenging environments, working to engage decision-makers and community stakeholders like students, parents, and community leaders.
My background is in education policy, but as education has evolved to become the epicenter of community growth and change, I have taken on policy and strategy in multiple areas, including diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), and equity-minded leadership. I am hyper-focused on the secret sauce of creating organizational systems that are effective and efficient and lead with equity as a core value.
